Pumla Msangwayi
College: UWC Maastricht (2010-2012)
University: St. Olaf College, Minnesota U.S.A

I am 21-years-old, and I am from Johannesburg, South Africa. I am a recent graduate from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, where I studied towards B.A’s  in Studio Art and an Individual Major (African Identities: Media / Development) with 2 concentrations in Africa and the Americas as well as Management. I am passionate about youth and business development in Africa and I also love the beautiful game of badminton (I would love to play with anyone, or if you prefer to watch the Uber Cup, we can do that too)

My UWC experience has helped me gain more perspective, of who I am in relation to others. That has made me more mindful of my ability to contribute positively to creating change in our continent and around the worldpment) with 2 concentrations in Africa and the Americas as well as Management. I am currently a rising third-year student at NYU Shanghai (New York University's third degree granting campus) and am pursuing a B.A. Social Science with a concentration in "Law and Economics". In my spare time I love  to focus on dance/choreography, badminton, and explore the wonders  that  Shanghai has to offer.

Sidingo Mahlobo
College: Lester B. Pearson UWC of the Pacific (2010-2012)
University: Earlham College - Indiana, U.S.A

Taking Politics as a major at Earlham College was a very rewarding experience for me. After graduating from the IB, I wanted to carry on my passion for analysing world institutions and how they pertain to issues on the African continent. The Liberal Arts experience emphasised a brand of critical thinking that was both diverse and refreshing - which is something that I think is extremely important to take into an ever-changing global landscape.

Xolo Msomi
College: Mahindra UWC India (2012-2014)
University: Westminster College --- Missouri, U.S.A

Thulani hails from Durban, South Africa. He is currently in pursuit of a BA in English and BA in Political Science, in the USA. He called India home for two years and is an alumnus of The Mahindra United World College. His multicultural experiences have led him to identify himself as a global local, seduced by law and politics. He loves reading and is particularly addicted to poetry and novels from all corners of the world. Amongst other ills, he is permanently diagnosed with wanderlust.

 Louise Louw

 University: University of Cape Town

I am currently in my second year at the University of Cape Town, studying a Bachelor of Arts. I am studying German and classics, with majors in Mandarin Chinese and English Literature.   UWC has empowered me to achieve academically and socially beyond my imagination.  Next stop, masters in Chinese in China and hopefully a teaching position at a UWC school.
